This design features a shipping container that has been converted into a drop-down classroom. This movable structure functions entirely without electricity or water, maximizes natural light, and unfolds into three small classroom areas. With open-air ceiling cutouts, double-hung windows, weather-proof exterior shades, and wood-lined walls, this design creates a comfortable environment for students in developing countries, and areas recovering from disaster, to earn their education.
I developed this design by doing in-depth research, hand-sketching diagrams and concepts, building a physical study model, and finalizing my ideas in a virtual 3D model.
